can any one tell me what is the mpg on a jeep liberty 2004 3.7L V6. My jeep liberty only can go up to about 14 mpg, something wrong?
A: On long trips on the interstate, mine gets 20 mpg. 14 is probably about right for in town driving.

I have a jeep liberty sport now, I'm thinking of trading it in for a jeep liberty limited. I love the features- leather seats that are heated, console tells you how many miles til empty, tire pressure, alot of stuff, and I commute to college every day for 1/2 hour. My car and the limited that I am looking at has the same mileage as mine, 38k, the only diff is that I'll be paying approx $80 more a month. is it worth it?
A: I'm not to sure what the Sport is like , but I have a Limited Liberty and love it . but you know what they say. if it aint broke dont fix it. keep what you got.

A: Probably not. The closest you can get is to take it to an electronics store that installs sound systems and see what, if anything, they can do for you.
Q: What part of the engine is making the knocking sound in my 2002 Jeep Liberty?
Just recently, my 2002 Jeep liberty started developing an engine knock at high rpms before shifting to the next gear. Then the oil light would come on and go off, eventually staying off. Proper oil level, no leaking. Now it just starting knocking while in park, on what sounds to be near the passenger side.

A: Well it sounds like your rods are not getting enough oil, you could check oil pressure, and if that is o.k. then use Lucas oil it will keep all your moving parts well oiled. Also if you do work on your car invest in a Haynes repair manual, it comes in handy. KNOWLEDGE IS THE KEY ! Or they will take you to the cleaners.
Q: my 2004 jeep liberty is sluggish and the check engine light is on?
I have a 2004 Jeep Liberty, when I am stopped and start to drive again it seems to be sluggish. Not all the time, occasionally. When I hit between 40 and 50 MPH it almost seems like its not getting enough gas and the engine light flashes! The engine light is ALWAYS on and I don't know why. I had an oil change, tune up and everything! Does anyone know why it is doing this?

I have an '02 Jeep Liberty and the antifreeze has been concealing (like cottage cheese) in my overflow tank. I use the proper antifreeze. Looking for suggestions.

Q: What trailer hitches can fit on a 2005 Jeep Liberty?
I want to take an old trailer hitch off something from the junk yard, but don't know what is compatible with a 2005 Jeep Liberty.
A: you will need a compatible hitch for this jeep im afraid one from the junk yard wont be any use unless it is from the same model ie a liberty 01/06 they are designed to fit each vehicle individually so one from a truck or a wrangler for instance would not be compatible. with the liberty.the correct fitting towing hitch is very easy to fit just remove the towing eye and there is three bolt holes either side of the fuel tank and it fit perfect then you will need the ball or pin to clear/come out past the spare wheel other wise you can not hook any thing on because the wheel is in the way,you can purchase this tow package off the net ebay etc i recently paid about t£195 in the uk for the complete package including the wiring harness and reversing siren and also include a bradley hitch ball and pin which is about £40 alone, so can't be that expensive to buy new and save a lot of grief and time in doing so
Q: How to replace a shift knob on an 06 jeep liberty?
How do you remove the shift knob on an 06 jeep liberty? The shift knob has one set screw but has a button for the OD so it doesn't just slide off. There is also no apparent place where it separates. thanks.

Q: How much can a 2002 Jeep Liberty tow WITHOUT the factory tow package?
I have a 2002 Jeep Liberty Limited with the 3.7L V-6. I do not have the factory tow package. I have installed my own class III hitch. The only number I can find in my indoor sticker is the GVWR is 5600#. I am looking to tow an 18 ft boat. The boat, trailer and motor weigh 3000#. The jeep itself weighs 3850#. Is this really safe to tow with this vehicle?
A: that boat is going to be a little heavy on your jeepmy friend , my beest advice to you is to take it EASY while you are pulling it. 1st. dont mash on the gas to make it get up to speed just ease it up to speed ya dont want to get it hot. OK now keep your mind on the road thats agood size boat and if you think you can stop it real quick you are very wrong that boat will feel like 2 tons of bricks pushing you down the road if you have to stop real quick. Next is another prblem you may have, if you have to back the boat down a steep ramp , be careful pavement could be wet and the boat will pull you down the ramp and into the water , Next but not least , has that jeep got what it takes to pull that 3000 lbs boat out of the water and up the WET ramp?? or will it just sit there and spin tires . So please think before you get into a situation where your you find the hardway the jeep isnt or wasnt big enough .. I drove a truck for 25 years and i seen so many accidents that could have been advoided if only the people had the good sense to get the proper vechile to tow their boats and campers with. 3000lbs boat id pull it with at least a good half ton 4 wheel drive pickup

My tail light burnt out on my 2005 Jeep Liberty so I replaced it 2 days ago and it worked fine but last night when I got in my car it was out again. What could be wrong and how can I fix it? I don't have any money right now to take it somewhere so any help would be greatly appreciated!
A: check the socket really good where the bulb goes in at,that will cause one to stop working like that and a bad ground wire will cause it also,but usually on those vehicles its a bad bulb or a bad socket,you could have got a bad bulb and it already blown it,sometimes it happens,even buying new parts these days doesn't mean its going to last as long as the original one did,good luck.
Q: I need to change the code to my remote keyless entry remote on my 05 jeep liberty?
My remote key-lesss entry key for my 05 jeep liberty was recently stolen.I think someone is getting into my jeep.How do I change the code to it so the old keyless remote will no longer work?
