A: You are correct! It is a Dodge with a Jeep badge. Currently there are only 3 cars that can be considered to be a real jeep. Wrangler, Grand Cherokee, and Liberty. Anything else is a Dodge with a Jeep badge.

A: no your bolt pattern is 5x4.5 or 5x114 with a 5.5 backspacing. email the seller and double check he might have the wrong pattern listed but he can help you with getting the right pattern and offset
Q: How much should I pay for a 2010 Jeep Patriot?
I'm probably going to purchase a Jeep Patriot this weekend and I don't know how low I can get the dealer to go. I am looking at a 2010 Jeep Patriot, 4x2, 2.4L engine, AUTOMATIC transmission. Everything else standard. Jeep website has the base MSRP at $17,795, $630.00 destination charge, for an MSRP of $18,425.00. They also have $1500 cash back putting it at $16,925. Any ideas how low I can get them?
A: The Jeep Patriot is essentially a Dodge Caliber with a few design differences on the exterior.
They both unfortunately are not very reliable and their value will drop like a rock in the next few months when Chrysler goes belly up.
If I remember correctly there is a $8-900 hold back on that vehicle from invoice which the dealer NEVER dips into in negotiations unless it is an "expendable" unit with a bad color, options, etc..
I would say you could walk away with it for about $500 over invoice, which is right about what you are paying.

Not counting any incentives, let's leave those out. I'm considering purchasing a 2010 Jeep Patriot 4x4. Looking at the basic package, upgrading to 4x4 instead of 4x2, and making it an auto-stick transmission instead of a manual, the Jeep website says MSRP of $21,275. How much can I talk them down to? A: Dealer invoice for that particular vehicle is going to be just shy of $21,000, before rebates and incentives. This is a very narrow margin vehicle, and anything better than $20,500 you can negotiate, and you've done very well. Just be aware that you're going to assume one of the most aggressive immediate depreciations in vehicle history.

Paid $17800 for a 2010 Jeep Patriot at 5.25% for 72 months.
I got 10k for my trade, a 2007 Patriot with 50k miles on it with slight body damage.
Mccoy we are making 3 xtra payment a year to shorten the life of the loan. We'll be paying it off early.
A: Without crunching the numbers specifically, it sounds like a good purchase price and good trade-in amount. That's a good interest rate too but try to pay off early if possible.
Q: Is a 2.4L DOHC 16v 172hp engine better than a 2.0L DOHC 16v 158hp?
I'm trying to decide which engine I should get in a 2010 Jeep Patriot, the 2.0L is less expensive and gets more miles to the gallon but the 2.4L is stronger.
A: The peak horsepower difference is minor. 14 peak hp isn't a big difference, especially when you consider that the 2.4L version will weigh slightly more than the 2.0L.
The biggest difference you'll probably notice in performance during a test-drive is torque throughout the entire RPM range. Namely the 2.4 will have more torque (and therefore more power) at lower RPM before the power peak as compared to the 2.0. In terms of fuel mileage, the 2.0 will be more efficient IF you drive them both the same. If you drive the 2.0 harder than the 2.4 (to make up for the fact that the 2.0 will be a bit slower accelerating than the 2.4) the only significant gas mileage gain you'll probably get in real world driving with the 2.0 will be during highway cruising when acceleration isn't a factor like it is during "city" driving.
In the end, it's up to you which you prefer and how much you're willing to spend but those are the main differences you'll notice between the two.
