Q: JEEP WRANGLER QUESTiON
Hey, thanks for checking out my question, first off! =D Alrighty, so what I'm wondering is if they'll still be making Jeep Wranglers in 2011. I'm so very curious about it, because I've heard a rumor going around that by 2010 or 2011 ALL cars MUST be electric! Is that true? But, the reason I'm asking about the Jeep Wrangler, is because I really want one of those =) So please answer, and don't say "i dont know.." or "good question.." just to get points! thanks =P

A: No the 2010 JK will not be electric,we have already built some 2010 pilot vehicles and they still have the V-6.Someone said they will have a diesel in 2010 but that isn't true,no diesel engine is in the works for the domestic JK.I think someone may have been pulling your leg, there is no way that all cars could be electric by 2010 or 2011.

Q: Will the Jeep Wrangler ever have a fuel efficient engine?
Does Jeep have plans on building them, maybe for 2011, with an engine with a mpg better than 20mpg?

A: I have a jeep cherokee and I get about 18 to the gallon, it has the 4.0l I6, sure it sucks down the gas, but it's a fun car! it has a lot of muscle, and its built like a tank. mine has been over numerous short jumps, running over bushes, scraping by tree's and getting covered in mud. its a car built for fun. I do hope they can come up with something that has better gas mileage but with all the power, in the future efficiency will be everything.

Q: Which Jeep Wrangler should I get?
I'm planning on getting a Jeep Wrangler (manual tranny) but don't know if I should get the current 2010 one or wait for the 2011 which might have the Pentastar V6 engine. Does anyone know if teh 2011 one will have the Pentastar engine? Is the Pentastar engine really worth waiting for or is the current one fine?

A: Anything would be better than the current v6, it is garbage. I would rather go with a 2006 model and get the 4.0L inline 6.

Q: Used 1998 Jeep Wrangler with 175,000 miles, would it be worth it?
Used 1998 Jeep Wrangler with 175,000 miles, would it be worth it? Their selling it for $6,200. It's a 4c 5speed 4x4. Jeeps keep their price, but the mile age is making me iffy. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=p&car_id=276696779&dealer_id=65133299&car_year=1998&rdm=1269663907664&lastStartYear=1981&num_records=25&model=WRANGLER&systime=&make2=&highlightFirstMakeModel=&start_year=1985&engine=&keywordsrep=&keywordsfyc=&certified=&fuel=&body_code=0&awsp=false&search_type=both&distance=300&marketZipError=false&search_lang=en&showZipError=n&first_record=26&make=JEEP&color=&keywords_display=&page_location=findacar::ispsearchform&min_price=4000&drive=4%20wheel%20drive&default_sort=&seller_type=b&max_mileage=&style_flag=1&sort_type=priceDESC&address=62454&advanced=y&end_year=2011&pager.offset=25&transmission=Manual&doors=&max_price=7000&cardist=269&standard=false

A: if it was the In line six it would probably be worth that much but the Jeep 4CY is a notoriously underpowered problem prone P.O.S especially seeing as its so high mileage again the in line six's last for almost ever but the 4cy have very short life spans if you can negotiate the price down $1500 at least and can afford to have an engine swap done than go for it other wise run away run as far and as fast as you can the body's in good shape but that motor is probably trashed but like i said if you can afford the engine swap the motor will usually cost about $12 -1400 from a shop or you can go to a junk yard and probably get one for $500-1000 and labor will probably be about a $1000 so really unless your looking for an easy project vehicle you're better off just buying one with a six cylinder in it or finding one with a good body/transmission but no motor hope i helped

Q: I can't choose a color for my jeep.?
This is my first time buying a new vehicle... darn clunker died on me last week. I am stuck on picking a color for a jeep(Wrangler Rubicon). I can't decide from the Mango Tango or the Deep Water Blue. I am not sure why but at the dealership i really like the Mango Tango but then i start wondering when I drive it and what people think (Usual me always worried about what people think) Idk the color just pops to me and makes me smile. I love how it looks with the black too. Then i look at the Deep Water Blue and feel calm and relaxed. But in a way i do want the attention look of a car. I like the fact that if i go out and park ill easily find it since not to many people go for that color. I know I have a while till I really have to decide which is in Nov. But I just want some more opinions. Also will the Mango Tango still be used in the 2011 jeeps? haha thanks that did help already and blue popped to my mind... but i still want a popping color and they have a light blue surf pearl blue so I think ill have to go with that lol.

A: however you want it is the way you have to get it...........BLUE will look GREAT!!!! then again a reddish or black jeep looks amazing. as soon as i can buy myself a car, im getting a jeep. you're lucky

Q: I am in the process of purchasing my very first jeep. Is this a good deal?
Here is the jeep I am looking at. i know they last awhile if properly taken care of and from my previous searches (been looking for a month) this seems like a decent deal, definitely not a steal that I have seen in the past. Here is the link http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=u&car_id=283388436&dealer_id=100052730&car_year=2000&engine=6%20Cylinder&fuel=&lastStartYear=1981&sort_type=priceDESC&default_sort=priceDESC&systime=&drive=&style_flag=1&body_code=0&sownerid=83093&seller_type=b&min_price=&color=&model=WRANGLER&keywords_display=&advanced=y&distance=300&doors=&keywordsrep=&highlightFirstMakeModel=&awsp=false&search_lang=en&showZipError=n&rdm=1280167153198&marketZipError=false&keywordsfyc=&search_type=used&transmission=Automatic&max_price=15000&max_mileage=&end_year=2011&make=JEEP&start_year=2000&certified=&num_records=25&make2=&address=85222&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&first_record=26&pager.offset=25&cardist=60&standard=false This won't be my primary vehicle, all i want it for is to off road and have the top down.

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here - carquotes.sinfree.net
